Position Overview
Cross & Dot, LLC is seeking a dynamic and visionary Principal Consultant, Educational Leadership to support school districts, charter schools, nonprofit organizations, and educational leaders in solving complex challenges through innovation, strategy, and leadership development.This role is ideal for an experienced educational leader who is passionate about helping organizations strengthen systems, improve outcomes, and build leadership capacity. The Principal Consultant will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance, operational expertise, coaching, and customized solutions that align with organizational goals.The successful candidate is a relationship-builder, systems thinker, and skilled communicator who thrives in collaborative environments and is committed to excellence in education.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage consulting engagements for school districts, charter schools, and educational organizations
Provide executive coaching and leadership development for superintendents, principals, executive directors, and leadership teams
Conduct organizational assessments and develop strategic recommendations
Support clients in areas such as:
Strategic planning
Organizational leadership
School improvement
Special education compliance and systems
Governance and board relations
Operational effectiveness
Staff development and professional learning
Crisis management and corrective action planning
Design and facilitate workshops, retreats, and professional development sessions
Develop high-quality reports, presentations, and client deliverables
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Support business development efforts, including networking, proposal development, and identifying new partnership opportunities
Represent Cross & Dot, LLC with professionalism and integrity
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree required; Doctorate preferred
Minimum of 7–10 years of leadership experience in K-12 education
Experience as a superintendent, assistant superintendent, executive director, principal, or district-level leader preferred
Strong knowledge of educational leadership, compliance, governance, and school operations
Demonstrated experience leading organizational change and strategic initiatives
Exceptional communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently
Consulting, coaching, or facilitation experience preferred
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with diverse stakeholders
